If you are anything like my clients, you understand the importance of finding fulfillment outside of academia.  You want to live a well-rounded life filled with fun, happiness, joy, family, and freedom.

And you also want to make additional income outside of your academic career.

You know that you could be making a greater impact with your business (or business idea).  But you’re struggling to get it off the ground because academic responsibilities during the semester take priority over a hobby.

And that is the BIGGEST MISTAKE I see academic entrepreneurs make!  They treat their business like a hobby.

And I get it!  Having a hobby is safe.  Hobbies are fun.  Hobbies don’t require commitment.  Hobbies don’t come with the risk of failure.

But hobbies also don’t make money.

Academia requires a lot of personal time and energy.

If you’re spending all of your time and energy on your academic responsibilities, you’ll be too tired and too drained to grow your business.

How can you expect to make more money when your academic responsibilities take time and energy away from your business?

You think…

“If I could just get ahead this week, I’ll finally have time to work on my business on the weekend.”

“I’ll use Spring Break to make progress in my business.”

“I’ll build my business over the summer.”

But you never get ahead in your academic work.  And you need your weekends and breaks to rest and reset for the next semester.

The average entrepreneur works a total of 52 hours a week.

As academic entrepreneurs, we don’t have that kind of time.

I’ve figured out how to grow my business to six-figures working 10% of that.

Yes; I spend less than 5 hours a week operating my business.

When I realized the difference between a hobby and a business is that a business makes money, I knew that the only way to optimize my time was to focus on the profitable tasks in my business.

The tasks that lead to sales.

And I get it…

Selling is scary!

Especially when you haven’t learned the tools that make selling online feel good instead of feeling sleazy.

However, selling becomes much easier when it’s done on autopilot.  It helps you make more offers in less time and gives you the confidence to sell more.

You can make passive income during a busy semester.

Give me two hours and I’ll teach you how.
